Jávea/Xàbia
Jávea has three separate hearts: the sandy Arenal beach with its promenade, the working port with fish restaurants along the quay, and the old town inland — Gothic church, stone houses, a Thursday market that has run for centuries.
Behind them all rises Montgó, a 750-metre mountain that shelters the town and keeps the climate mild. South of the port the coast turns rocky, with turquoise coves — Granadella is regularly named among the best beaches in Spain.
